Town Clerks receive honors

Town of Perinton Deputy Town Clerk Debbie D. Brown has received her Registered Municipal Clerk designation from Town Clerk’s Association of New York State. Debbie has met the stringent education and experience requirements of the NYS Town Clerk’s Association.

Debbie has been working for the Town of Perinton for 10 years as Deputy Tax Receiver, Deputy Town Clerk and currently serves as Senior Deputy Tax Receiver. She moved to Perinton after meeting her husband Cory, a Perinton native, in New York City. They have an 11-year-old son Gannon.

Debbie, a native of Ohio, has a Bachelor’s Degree from Kent State University.

Perinton Town Clerk/Receiver of Taxes Jennifer West has been recertified as a Registered Municipal Clerk.

The Town Clerks Associated of New York State said Jen demonstrated she is dedicated to her profession as a municipal clerk and has met the high standards of the association.

Jen has served as Perinton’s Town Clerk since January 2009. She brought more than 25 years of corporate management background with Eastman Kodak to her position.

Jen has been elected by her peers as the President of the Monroe County Town Clerk and Tax Receivers’ Association. She is a native of western New York and a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Town Supervisor Ciaran Hanna said, "To have both our Town Clerk and our Deputy Town Clerk receive this designation is outstanding. I am very proud of Jen and Debbie for achieving the high level of education and experience necessary for this designation. It is further proof of the quality of our Clerk's Office here in Perinton."
