The Town of Perinton’s 2019 budget provides a tax rate cut for all town residents.
Town residents outside the Village of Fairport will receive a $0.092 tax cut, while town residents who live in the village will receive a $0.003 tax cut.
Town residents outside the village will pay $2.153 per $1,000 of property value, compared to $2.245 in 2018. Village residents will pay $1.710 in 2019 compared to $1.713 in 2018.
The 2019 town budget is $21,553,239.
For every $100 of taxes in the 2019 budget, $68 goes to the schools, $25 goes to Monroe County and $7 goes to the Town of Perinton.
Once again, the Town of Perinton has the third lowest tax rate among Monroe County towns. Only Riga, with no town taxes, and Henrietta have lower tax rates. Perinton has been in the top 3 of lowest tax rates in Monroe County every year this century.
The Town of Perinton estimates raising $8,899,928 in taxes. Revenues are expected to rise from $12,498,383 in 2018 to $12,633,710 in 2019. Noticeable revenue rises include sales tax ($3,850,000 in 2018 to $4,500,000 in 2019) and recreation and parks ($1,761,000 in 2018 to $1,938,000 in 2019).
